Description 

Elagen is our adaptogen supplement, which contains the herbal extract Eleutherococcus Senticosus. 

Eleutherococcus Senticosus, sometimes known as ‘Siberian Ginseng’ or Eleuthero, is a small woody shrub native to North East Asia. Our pure Eleuthero is a select high quality extract, standardised to ensure known and consistent levels of active ingredients (Eleutherosides). With a reputation stretching back over 2000 years and supported by extensive research, Eleuthero is a key adaptogen widely trusted by users and practitioners alike. Adaptogens are thought to help the body adapt to different situations and stresses, enhance and support a healthy immune system, combat fatigue and promote positive energy levels. Eleuthero is a health food supplement much favoured by people with physically and mentally demanding lifestyles and those who regard a healthy immune system as a vital defence against viruses and other illnesses. 

People who have the herpes virus may be interested to know that in a double blind placebo controlled study, in association with the Herpes Viruses Association (HVA), many volunteers taking Elagen reported shorter, fewer and less severe outbreaks of the herpes virus; including less cold sores. The HVA tested them on over 100 members against a placebo capsule in a 6 month, double-blind trail. 68% of the people taking the Elagen found that they had fewer/shorter/no outbreaks.

• Contents: Concentrated extract of standardised Eleutherococcus senticosus 450mg (Extract 25:1) in a base of Maltodextrin (up to max 10%). Minimum 11gms equivalent of dried root in each capsule standardised to a minimum of 0.8% with active Eleutherosides E and B.
• Capsule Shell: Vegetable Cellulose (HPMC) 100mg.
• Pack Quantity: 60 capsules
• Dosage: 1 capsule per day, preferably in the morning. In times of particular demand, this may be increased to 2 capsules per day.
