Hi lovely readers! I'm Allie and I'm here to share the incredible journey of Eladon, a business that's been close to my heart for as long as I can remember. Eladon isn't just a business to me, it’s a family legacy and I've poured my heart and soul into it since I took the plunge at the age of 19.

Eladon has its roots deep in the passion of my Dad, Richard. In the early '90’s he founded this company with a singular vision – with immune support in mind, providing people with high-quality supplements that could make a real difference in their lives. That was the cornerstone of our journey and the birth of Elagen.

When I was just 19 years old my Dad approached me with a proposition that would change my life forever. He asked if I would like to take the reins of Eladon. It was a daunting thought as the business was already well-established and successful and the idea of running it seemed such a challenge, although deep down I saw this as an incredible opportunity to learn, grow and continue my father's legacy, so I took the plunge.

Fast forward to today, I am in my 30’s – wow what a journey it's been! Over the years I have acquired a multitude of new skills from writing blogs, handling social media, creating leaflets, managing accounts, packing orders, conducting research and connecting with our cherished customers, to name but a few.

I am not alone on this journey, Claire who joined us a few years ago has been an incredible pillar of support. She is not just a colleague but also a close friend and together, we certainly make a dynamic duo. From brainstorming new ideas, collaborating marketing strategies and work tirelessly to raise awareness about Eladon.

The world has changed significantly since Eladon's early days. As a child, I remember visiting our first office in the late '90’s and early '00’s where I would pass the time playing Solitaire or Minesweeper on a chunky old Windows computer - I will add I had no idea what I was doing, especially with Minesweeper! I also remember drawing on printer paper with biro and highlighters and being so proud if any of them were put up on the notice board for all the team to see. I remember continuous sound of the photocopier, printers and all the hustle and bustle, the telephone constantly ringing with orders and piles of paper work. I’d be chuffed when given any little tasks, like sharpening pencils or helping pack orders, then rushing out with my mum or dad to catch the post that day. Those times were special times, seeing how busy everyone was and witnessing the business grow. Little did I know, those moments would become cherished memories and perhaps were even an insight into my future.

Back then the business was only telephone or postal orders without the luxury of internet, social media and smartphones like today. Our marketing relied on newspapers, radio and magazines, not forgetting countless phone calls. However, as the business has evolved, the one thing that has remained the same – the power of word of mouth! It's the number one way that we have managed to survive in this ever-changing world.

Word of mouth was and continues to be, the lifeblood of our business. It is the heartfelt stories, recommendations and feedback shared from our customers that allow us to thrive in this ever-changing landscape. They have always been a testament to the effectiveness of our products and have played a pivotal role in our journey.

Looking back it is truly humbling to see how far we have come from those early days. Since then the world has transformed and technology has advanced, yet our core values and dedication to our customers remain unchanged.

We owe our continued success to you, our loyal customers. You have stood by us through thick and thin, it is your trust and belief in our supplements that really do keep us going. You have not only transformed your lives with our products but have also helped us, as well as others, by spreading the word.

As a small business we are constantly striving to compete with larger companies. We are dedicated to building a stronger online presence to reach more people who could benefit from taking our supplements. We have so many ideas in the pipeline and are excited to see where the future takes us.

On reflection, from a curious child in the old office to where I am today, I feel grateful for the experiences and insights that have shaped me. Eladon has not only been a business but also a part of my life's journey and I am excited to continue to grow and evolve with all of you, our cherished customers. You are truly a part of our extended family and together we will navigate through the changing tides and continue to make a positive impact on people's lives.
